aka 6th Street Bridge and connects the Arts District DTLA with Boyle Heights. This new bridge just reopened on July 9, 2022 and it’s a replacement for the OG viaduct that was demolished in 2016. The OG was built in 1932 and was a historical landmark (also in so many movies including one of my faves-Grease!), but its serious structural issues outweighed the status which led to the demolition. Her big makeover took six years and SHE HAS ARRIVED. It is absolutely gorgeous and it gives me Brooklyn Bridge vibes. I’m obsessed.

This is a fun age! Here’s another list of “must have baby items” that our 3-6 month old Nicobaby needed/enjoyed during this stage. For items that continued to be useful, I copied them over from the newborn list. Most items are found on Amazon and linked here on my Must Have Baby Items: 3-6 months Amazon List.
Read MoreTaking care of a newborn is not easy and sleep deprivation makes it even more challenging. So instead of giving you the bullshit mom advice of “sleep when baby sleeps”, my advice is start sleep training early! The sooner your baby sleeps through the night, the sooner YOU get to sleep through the night and will no longer feel like a mombie!! At 10 weeks, my Nico baby started sleeping through the night (10-12 hours) consistently (and now he’s taking really great naps!) and I owe it to three things that I would recommend every parent try!
Read MoreWorking out consistently really helped me throughout my pregnancy and through labor and delivery (more about that in another post) both physically and mentally. I didn’t feel much discomfort during pregnancy (i.e. back pain, trouble sleeping). Working out also helped me cope with work stress - I definitely felt more relaxed and less anxious. Hope this list is helpful for mommies who are interested in working out during pregnancy.
Read MoreWhen I made my baby registry, I had no idea wtf I was doing. I just added whatever was recommended and later learned that a lot of it wasn’t necessary or Nico just didn’t care for it. Stating the obvious, but not all babies/moms/dads are the same. What worked for Nico and us may not work for you. So I found that having our registry on Amazon worked out the best because of their return policy!
To help new moms like me who had no fucking idea, I gathered a list of some items that I 110% recommend you at least try. And if they don’t work out for you and baby, exchange for diapers! All linked HERE.

I woke up this morning with an urge to write and share, so here I am. It’s 5:30AM, I made myself a nice oatly latte, and I’m pumping. Yes, breastmilk. More on that here…

Some dishes are very easy to make and require very few and a lot of the same ingredients. Btw. I’m not a chef, ok, so don’t hate on my imprecise recipes. Read MoreKobe was a part of my family's life for as long as I can remember. I grew up loving Kobe for so many reasons, but I admired his INTENSE passion the most - and how he shared it with all of us. When he made a shot, we felt the success and the pride. When the Lakers lost, we all lost. He let us in on the joy and the pain. He taught us how to bleed purple and gold.
