This weekend, we remember the sacrifices our Veterans made for our country. And with respect and gratitude, we follow their lead during these trying times. As I looked up ways to celebrate Memorial Day to share with you, I realize the celebration would be incomplete without giving back to our community. (If you’re feeling inspired, I’m donating to Feed our Vets today, which is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help Veterans in the United States, their spouses and children whose circumstances have left them on the battlefield of hunger, and to involve the public in fighting Veteran hunger.)

We recently had SLAB and I’m obsessed with the beef ribs and brisket. You can really taste the smoke and it isn’t overpowered by the sauce. Love it. SLAB is offering Memorial Day Grill Your Own BBQ deals. For $225, you can get 2 pounds of burgers, a whole chicken, 2 baby back ribs, a Tomahawk (wow), and all the burger fixings. My #1 favorite BBQ in LA!!! This is absolutely what we’ll be eating to celebrate Memorial Day. They’re offering family meals and party trays (serving 10-12 people) ranging from $89.95 - $225. You can also order a la carte. I would def not skip the BRISKET (drool), Texas red hot beef links, and beans. And the BBQ sauce. Perfection. Order curbside pick up or delivery via Chownow.
BOA is offering DIY Meal Kits that serves 8 people. They have a variety: (1) $52 - BBQ Wagyu Burger Baskets; (2) $65 Pastrami Sandwich Kit; and (3) $85 for their famous Smoked Brisket Sandwich Kit. Known for their Neapolitan pizzas, but this weekend they’re switching it up and offering burgers! For $60, you can get 2 burgers/fries, full bottle of their signature cocktail (serves four) or four beers. And you can get double (4 burgers/fries, 8 cocktails, 8 beers) for $100.
